180326 Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, Fukuoka
Uminonakamichi Seaside Park measures nearly four kilometers from end to end
It is a huge park. Located in the northern side of Fukuoka. It is better to cycle. For us, we like to walk. And we realised it is very huge and get lost a few times. We did not visit the zoo, and the aquarium. Only visited the gardens.
Our intention to visit here is to catch the cherry blossom. We realised we are too early. The canola flowers came as a surprise. |
The children park here is huge. You can find lots of families with children playing here |
A few coloured cherry blossom plants |
The Rose garden. Found 2 roses. LOL |
Found the cherry trees over another end of the park. Frank buy the canola field. |
Tulips. So beautiful |
We were too early for Cherry Blossom. However, we are still able to view tulips, and other flowers. This park is more for families with children. They can let the children play in the big playgrounds. If you love flowers, it is a good place to visit too.
How to get there
From Hiroshima Station, take a Shinkansen Train to Hakata Station.
From Hakata station take the Kagoshima local train to Kashii Station
From Kashii Station, change another train to Uminonakamichi station.
Train station is just located next to the park.
JR West pass only covers the cost of Shinkansen train.
We need to pay local train fares. (not expensive)
It can be very confusing at the Kashii Station as all information is written in Japanese. We took the wrong direction so wasted at least another half an hour.
Admission fees
We paid 410 yen per person.
I think is is worth it as we need to contribute to maintain this park
