We spent our last day spending a lazy day shopping in AEON Supermarket located north of Hiroshima station near Shimo-Gion Station. We took a train there, where we need to press a button for the train door to open when the JR train reach the station. Initially, we wanted to have steam boat at one of the Japanese Restaurant. But it was lunch time and packed with Japanese diners. So we decided to walk around and look for some snacks.  We decided to head towards AEON supermarket for some snacks. To our delight, we found this doughnut shop serving long doughnuts and coffe at 100yen only 100yen each. Later I learnt from my friends that it is called churros and they made it big. Very delicious, cryspy on the outside, soft inside. I think it is more delicious than Mister Donut. I am a fan of convenient stores in Japan. While I was in Tokyo, I got all my 100yen stuff from Lawson Mart and even won lucky dip for 2 cans of beer from spending over 1000 yen worth of goods. My hunt for breakfast items will start immediately when I step in Japan. Lawson Mart - During Sakura season, it is so wonderful to see these items at affordable prices. All less than 200 yen each packet. Unfortunately, I was not able to bring them home as items were meant for limited period and stocks only. The green ones has green tea (real tea) bun with red bean fillings, the pink ones has plum paste in it. Very unique. The yellow item is a egg sponge cake. Their egg sponge cake is very spongy, fine and really delicious. Family Mart- There is 1 family mart located at the ground floor of our Hotel (Daiwa Roynet). Hiroshima Station -The must try Okonomiyaki. We didn't really go all out to search for this food cause we prefer sushi than any other things else. We happened  to be hungry after a trip to Iwakuni. We were at Hiroshima station and there is this new food court opening but we cannot enter as it was meant for invited guest. So we walk into ASSE shopping mall. We can only find Okonomiyaki restaurant and ok... we decided to try it out.    The verdict - Not so bad. It taste like wok fried egg noodles. If you are a Singaporean, I am sure you ever eat that at the hawker centre "zhe char" store. This taste like Sin Chow fried noodles. Well, I must say it is good. But we will not have a second round cause we prefer those ramen or sushi. Hiroshima Station - Hiroshima style ramen & Hiroshima style cold dried ramen with sesame sauce for dip. Nakau - Our new found Beef Don in Hiroshima. Located just few steps  away from our Hotel. A good place for late dinner as the shop close late  Our 1st try on 26 Mar 2018, Only 390yen for the beef don, and 220 for the akari and taopok udon. Similar to Matsuya Beef don, taste good at affordable rate. 27 Mar 18, not able to hold our excitement over our new find, we decided to come back again for the beef don and try out the grilled beef. Delicious. We ate these for the next day too The joint served other food like chicken cutlet and sword fish sashimi with rice. But we still feel the beef don is the best. So we have it for the next day again, and decided we should really stop and try other food instead. Yes, next time if I visit Japan, this will be another shop that I will hunt them down for a meal. In addition to Matsuya.

Kintai Bridge, located in Iwakuni, Yamaguchi. The view is calm and scenic.  You can take a boat ride if you want. The water current is actually quite strong though the water looks calm. Look at the steps, they adjust the height of the steps to get the curve. Very impressive. I read from the write out that this bridge was restored and completed in year 2004. The bridge was washed away by flood after flood. So I guess, the water current must be really very strong. While here,  I went under the bridge to explore. The car park is just next to the river bank The river bed is laid with huge rocks. Water is so clear that you feel like going into the water. Wow. Nice place. I really do not mind staying here. You may wonder : Just come here for the bridge only? No no no.... After you cross over, you will be greeted with restaurants and a park. Well, we are very lucky. It is the sakura season. Taxi in Hiroshima Apr 24 2018 It was our first day in Hiroshima. After much mental stress on how to get our StarHub Happy card working at the airport due to weak wifi signal at the airport,  taking the wrong bus to Hiroshima town,we decided to take a taxi to Daiwa Roynet Hotel. Taxi stand is just located next to the Limousine bus station. There is a old usher whom speaks fluent english to assist us. We suspected the taxi driver must have made some lengthy turn as our trip take quite some time to reach our hotel. We ended up paying 1430yen from Hiroshima Station to Hotel. On the day of check out, Hotel staff help us book a hotel. The taxi driver was so kind to stop its meter when it reach Hiroshima Station, at the junction before turning into the Limousine station. We paid only 1110yen. Taxi in Iwakuni Apr 28 2018 Took the wrong bus, and decided to take a taxi. Driver quoted 1620yen from Kintai bridge to Shin Iwakuni station. He made it exactly at this rate. This is the view from the plane when arriving Hiroshima. Mountainous and calm.  The airport is small, surrounded by mountains.  The first thing we landed was to activate our StarHub Happy Card Roaming service. For some reason, we failed to get it activated. It was only when we reach hotel that we realised Airport Wifi is not strong enough to activate the card. We also has issue turning on our wifi as well. As a note, the SilkAir check in counter will only opens at 8.25am for us to check in. (Departure time 10.25). So no point going early.  There is a information counter (immediately when you exit the arrival hall), where we can get transport ticket here too. For Limousine bus ticket to hiroshima, there are ticketing machines next door, behind the bus stop. We only realized it after queuing so long for our ticket and miss a bus. We waited for 1 hour for the next bus. (Their bus schedule will be cut once during off peak) We also realise...
